Walmart #2277 Clovis, CA

Welcome to the New Year everyone! Today for the first time on this blog I will be uploading pictures from a store that's not in the process of closing! Walmart! This is the Walmart Supercenter on Shaw Ave in Clovis, CA. There are three Walmart locations in Clovis with two of them being Supercenters and the other a Neighborhood Market. This location opened on 11/1/95 as a Division 1 store and has been remolded a few times over it's lifetime with the last remodel coming in July 2018. During a previous remodel this store became a small version of a Supercenter without a major remodel on the exterior. This location is 131,477 SF. This location has the current blue-gray paint scheme outside and the current black-white signage inside. During the last remodel they removed the white tile floor and now have polished concrete floors but you can tell it used to be tile. They added the Fabrics back after not having it in this store for a while as well. They also moved the Pickup area from the back of the store in Layaway to the front near the registers. Due to being a small Supercenter this location doesn't have a fast food restaurant, hair salon, or nail salon. On to the tour of this Walmart Supercenter!

As we head inside the Costumer Service area is to the right and you enter into the Produce area. The cart area is between the entrance and exit doors. 

The Vision Center is to the right of the exit door right behind the registers here

Pickup area has been moved to the front of the store next to the registers in front of the Vision Center

Produce, Deli, Bakery area 

Jewelry is located across from grocery

The Cosmetics area is located next to Jewelry and across from Grocery and has it's own register

Health & Beauty/Pharmacy area located across from Grocery 

Pet area and Paper/Chemicals along the back wall with the restrooms and former Layaway/Pickup area

Hardware/Paint area

The Fabrics and Crafts area. The Fabric area was just brought back during the recent remodel

Looking at the front end and they have nine cash registers and 10 self checkouts at this store. The Money Services area is located behind the registers next to the Vision Center.

Like most Walmart's I've been to this one seems to do good business and was busy during my visit here. The giant inflatable Christmas tree is a nice touch here. As you can see this is the original entrance way from when this location first opened. There's a strip of stores attached to the right side of this store which likely hampered any plans to expand this store so they made good use of the space they had. Aside from the amount of people in the store while I was taking pictures I think most of them came out really good and I think Walmart store tours will become a regular feature of this blog!
