Sears #1318 Bakersfield, CA Final Update!!!

This will be the final post about this location before it closes forever on 1/6/18! You can find my other blog posts about this store Here & There. As you can see from the pictures there wasn't much in the way of merchandise still available at this location. On the top level most of the unsold merchandise was clothing that was pushed into one corner of the store with random stuff sprinkled around. Down stairs on the basement level they only had the fixtures which were 60% off the tag price on my visit here. So lets jump right into the pictures starting with the outside...The key shack will not be closing from what I've been told but you just never know!

Optical and Watch Services

This is the stairway across the elevator that will lead us back to the top level and will signal the end of this closing update tour for this store. As this store will close on Sunday this will be the final time that I will visit here before they close for good. I will stop by at some point to get pictures of the building post closing. So far I haven't found anything online about what might replace Sears at this mall but I'm sure the mall owner will not have a problem filling this space as this mall is doing great overall with very little vacancies. I wish that Sears/Kmart can come back from this bankruptcy and be a great company again but it just doesn't look like that will happen. I wish everyone who is now or will be unemployed because of this company well and hope they find a new and better job with a more stable company. I also visited the closing Kmart locations in Delano, Lemoore, & Visalia and those store updates are on the way!
