Kmart #3945 Delano, CA Closing

It was announced on October 15, 2018 that the Kmart location in Delano, CA would be closing. This store will close sometime in January 2019. This location is on County Line Rd just inside Kern County. This was my first time visiting this location and noticed that this store has a different layout than any other Kmart I've ever been to. The food pantry is located in the back right hand corner near the old auto center and the baby supplies/furniture is located directly by the front doors to the left near the front restrooms in what I suspect was the Kmart Cafe/Little Ceasers. The customer service area is located in between the registers and the former pharmacy. The layway/restroom area is in the back left had section of the store and it looks like they just about eliminated the electronics section altogether.

The garden shop doors were open and they were storing the boxed Christmas trees inside but when I tried to enter there was a employee in there that told me it was off limits no customers allowed

One last parting shot of this closing Kmart. This area was hit hard by Sears/Kmart bankruptcy as the Kmart locations in Delano, Lemoore, Visalia and the Sears in Bakersfield are all closing. The Kmart in Clovis was already closing prior to the bankruptcy. I will be posting the Lemoore and Visalia closing locations soon. I hope to make back here before this store closes for the last time.
